The new projectors heighten the visual experience by delivering vibrant and crisp graphics, with the MP-WU8701 featuring 7,000 ANSI lumens brightness and the MP-WU8801 featuring 8,000 ANSI lumens brightness. Both come with an industry leading 5-year/20,000 hour1 warranty in the U.S. and Canada.
Laser projectors from Maxell offer 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, and when Long Life 2 Mode is used projectors can get up to 50,000 hours of operation, reducing the cost of ownership by eliminating the need for lamp replacement. The projectors’ high dependability and affordability make them ideal for use in auditoriums, lecture halls, classrooms, conference rooms, museums and other large venues while their interchangeable lens functionality ensures the projectors fit the need of every type of installation.
These laser-light projectors deliver visual clarity and brilliance with the integration of Maxell’s signature Accentualizer and High Dynamic Contrast Range 2 (HDCR2) technology. The Accentualizer technology makes images look realistic by enhancing sharpness, gloss and shade, while HDCR2 simultaneously corrects distorted image color and tone.
Maxell’s MP-WU8701 and MP-WU8801 feature blending and warping capabilities via manual adjustment or by using Maxell’s Projector Blending Tool 3 which utilizes a camera and software to automatically make adjustments.

These new projectors transform the interactive experience for K-12, higher education and corporate users with a bright display and innovative interactive software. The MP-TW3011 features 3,300 ANSI lumens brightness, while the MP-TW4011 features 4,200 ANSI lumens brightness. Both come with an industry leading 5-year/20,000 hour warranty in the U.S. and Canada.
The new laser projectors combine the power of Maxell’s signature Accentualizer and High Dynamic Contrast Range 2 (HDCR2) technology to enhance image sharpness, gloss and shade while correcting color and tone distortion. Other key visual functions include Mobile HighDefinition, Perfect Fit 2 and Aspect Zoom.
Maxell’s world-class StarBoard Interactive Presentation Software optimizes writing and drawing capabilities with free form shape and handwriting automation. The interactive pen tool allows users to directly draw and write on the projected screen without a PC and can operate as a compass, ruler, protractor or stopwatch. This new series of laser projectors—the first to be manufactured under the Maxell brand—has been specifically designed to enhance the visual experience by delivering vivid colors, bold graphics and crisp text. The Maxell MP-WU5603 and MP-WX5603 feature 6,000 ANSI lumen brightness, while the Maxell MP-WU5503 features 5,000 ANSI lumen brightness. All three boast an industry- leading 5-year standard warranty.
These laser-light-source projectors offer 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, and up to 50,000 hours when using Long Life 2 mode. Orlando, FL., Jun 10, 2019 – The Optronics Division of Maxell, Ltd. today announced that beginning as of October 1, 2019, Maxell, Ltd., through its United States subsidiary, Maxell Corporation of America, will assume responsibility for all operations related to both Hitachi- brand and Maxell-brand projector products and accessories in the North American market. This announcement marks the culmination of a six-year progression that began with Maxell, Ltd.’s acquisition of Hitachi Consumer Electronics, Co., Ltd.’s projector design, development and manufacturing assets and resources in 2013.
Maxell will begin introducing many new ways to bring innovative, reliable and very high- quality projector products to the professional AV market in North America. Fortunately, the transition should be seamless for end-users and distribution partners of both the Hitachi and Maxell brands because it will not involve disruption to established resources and personnel engaged in projector-related research and development, engineering, sales, marketing or product support.
The planned October 1, 2019 transition will ensure that all original warranty, service and support obligations applicable to both Hitachi-brand and Maxell-brand projector products occurring prior to that date will continue to be fully honored and upheld.
